Digital Smile Design
Digital Smile design (dSd) is a digital tool and methodology for planning an aesthetic study for a future smile based on a protocol of high quality static photos and dynamic videos. This tool was developed by Christian Coachman. This tool also allows simple and effective communication with the
laboratory technician and patient. The advantage of dSd is 3d planning. The first step is taking the initial photos, then creating the digital Smile design® protocol. The dSd ensures the predictability of the final result thanks to the static and dynamic analysis of the patient with extraoral, intraoral photos and video.
